Configurator
Lay out the home and see what needs watching
Add the rooms and set their dimensions. From those we work out how many motion sensors are needed so no corner is left blind. You are not ordering anything.
Trial version (beta)
We are still refining the configurator. The control unit prices are below — sensors and installation are priced after a site visit, because what decides them is the state of the electrics and the sockets. Send us the layout and we will prepare a tailored quote — and we would be glad to hear what you found missing here.
Let's start with where your relative lives
Pick whichever is closest. You can change anything afterwards — add a room, change the size, add a floor.
Don't feel like filling this in?
You don't have to. Leave us your details — we'll come and see the home and design it ourselves.
How the price is put together
We do not sell packages. Two homes with the same number of rooms can need a completely different number of sensors — and, more importantly, a completely different amount of work, depending on where the sockets are and what state the wiring is in. A price table would therefore be a number we could not stand behind.
The price has two parts
One-off, you pay for the equipment and the installation: the control unit with its wireless gateway, the sensors in the rooms, a smoke detector and the technician’s work. Monthly, you pay for running the system, servers and data connectivity, support and updates. All prices include VAT and we prepare the quote in advance, with no obligation.
A smart home is no longer a six-figure project
A few years ago a smart home meant a bespoke job, its own wiring and an engineer on call. That is no longer true. The sensors and smart devices we use are ordinary, widely available products, and the hardware itself is the smaller part of the price.
The value sits elsewhere — in where exactly the sensors are mounted so that no corner is left blind, and in how the rules are set so that the system recognises a real problem instead of pestering the family with false alarms. That is work, not goods. It is why we do not sell a box but a finished solution — and why we need to see the home before we can price it.
Where the price starts
The control unit is the one part we can price in advance — it is the same in every home. Prices include VAT.
| Basecontrol unit, wireless gateway, smoke detector | from 10,000 CZK |
| + router with a SIM card (recommended)keeps watching even when the internet goes down | from 15,000 CZK |
| + backup powerkeeps watching even during a power cut | from 20,000 CZK |
Sensors and installation are added on top. How many sensors are needed is what the configurator works out from the room dimensions. How much work it takes we only see on site — which is why we price it after the visit. Without one we would be making the numbers up.
What drives the price most
- Room dimensions, not the number of rooms. A motion sensor reliably covers about five metres across a field of view of roughly 120°. A fifty square metre living room therefore needs at least two — and so does a long narrow hallway, despite its small floor area. That is exactly what the configurator calculates.
- Whether the home has internet. Without a connection of its own, a router with a SIM card has to be part of the setup, otherwise no message could leave the home. Where there is internet we recommend it as a backup, but it is not required.
- The state of the electrics. This is the item that can move the price the most, and the only one that cannot be judged remotely. That is why we visit.
- Optional elements. Call buttons, window sensors, smart lights, water leak sensors, air-conditioning or heating control. None of it is compulsory — motion sensors and the smoke detector are standard.
An open system, not a closed box
Most competing products are closed — you get their boxes, which only talk to each other, and you cannot add anything else. We build on the ordinary Zigbee, Thread and Matter standards, which today carry thousands of devices from dozens of manufacturers.
In practice that means if in a year you buy a smart plug, a bulb, a radiator valve or a smoke detector that supports these standards, we will add it to the system. You do not have to buy only what we sell, and if you ever decide to go elsewhere, the equipment in the home stays usable.
Don’t feel like filling anything in?
You don’t have to. There is a button in the configurator that skips it, or you can book a free consultation directly. We will come, measure the home ourselves and design the layout and the budget for you.
Klidně Doma is a technology service, not a healthcare service and not an emergency line. The system watches movement in the home and alerts the family — it does not replace medical care or calling the emergency services.
